HMG partners with municipalities to provide sewer and water installation and the repair of existing building sewer and water service. We strive to ensure that all installation repairs meet the state plumbing code and industrial code for building sewers and water installation. Our dedication, dependability, and accountability makes us one of the top contractors in the Mississippi Delta. This division of HMG is led by Mr. Demeatrikes A. Coffey who is licensed with the Mississippi State Department of Health’s Bureau of Public Water Supply as a Waterworks Operator. He also holds a license from the State of Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality’s Office of Pollution Control, and received a Class II Wastewater Treatment Certification.
HMG Services for the public water system are, but not limited to, the following services:
- Inspect the system accordingly and perform all necessary operational and maintenance duties.
- Serve as a contact person for all related MSDH Bureau of Public Water Supply to remain in compliance with all federal and Mississippi safe drinking water acts and all other applicable laws and regulations.
- Be accessible 24 hours for all customer complaints, investigations, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain applicable organized records/log books documenting all activities completed on the public water system.
- Regular inspection of all pumps to ensure proper operation.
- Track daily, monthly, and annual water usage to detect leaks or other system issues.
- Read and record readings of all meters.
- Develop standard operating procedures along with an emergency operation plan.
- Test and record free chlorine residual in water system daily while maintaining minimum residual of 0.5 mg/1
- Regular inspection of the chemical feeder, wells, and chlorinator to ensure systems are fully operational.
